The Tyre Doctor...

'Oh no.. Its THAT guy again!!!' I turned around to see whom my mom meant... I pretty much realised why THAT guy was WELL THAT guy....

After ages our little Santro had come out for air... so needless to say, before we went to Sheeba's, we decided to check the air in the car tyres... On way we decided to stop at Paud Road to get air filled in the tyres... I stopped at the tyre shop... That's when amma turned and saw HIM...

THAT guy as mom referred to him could be better referred to as the Tyre Doctor... and his diagnosis always is atleast one puncture... So tyre doctor came with the air pump and pressure gauge... I told amma to keep an eye on him... He'd inevitably pull out a rusty nail from one of the tyres...

After filling air in the tyres he comes around and says... You guessed it... 'There's a puncture madam'... I sat there on the wheel laughing... the Tyre Doctor's cohort must have thought me mad when he looked at me... Well put in the spare tyre we said... No that was punctured too...

So to cut a long story short... we reached Sheeba's home an hour late...

What amma and I wondered was how did this guy always find nails in the tyres... Did he have some nails poking out of the road right outside his shop or was it that God gave us sense to bring our car to his shop whenever we had punctures... Either way, next time I'm definitely not going to go to that guy to fill air in our car tyres....

Hehehehe.... this happened once to us as well(note: once)... we were driving on the highway... we came to a highway town. Bang in the middle of the central part of this little town our tyre went "BAM".... and when we slowed down and came slowly to a halt, we were greeted by a smiling tyre shop guy on the left side of the road. He was grinning. almost as though he was expecting us and had forgotten to get a garland for the occasion!

Oh.. forgot to mention... Sure enough, He extracted a 2 inch long nail from our tyre.. one wonders how a 2 inch long tail would end up so strategically on National highway 17!!!

jusa couple of days back, my friends told me that mechanics around..usually drop nails all over their surroundings (not so close to their shop though)..its a normal way to lead a normal business life rey..its ok!!
Anyways, my friend actually went to the extent of collecting the nails (3) that punctured his bike and found out that they were of the same size... ;) Interesting na
